What do you think?
Are you receiving care in South Tyneside District Hospital or community services in Gateshead, South Tyneside or Sunderland (e.g. district nursing, health visiting, community matrons)? There are a number of ways you can tell us about your experience.
This is how –
Friends and Family Test
We coordinate the Friends and Family Test across the Trust where patients tell us whether they would recommend our services to their friends or family. We also encourage patients to give us their views to illustrate their recommendation.
Would you recommend the service?’
Your health care practitioner may give you a questionnaire to complete, once you have filled it in please pop it into a collection box, sealed envelope or hand it back to the practitioner. If you would like to tell us about your care and are not given a questionnaire you can ask for one from your health care practitioner.
If you find the questionnaire difficult to understand please ask for our easy read version.
Real Time Feedback
If you are in hospital or attend an outpatient clinic you may be approached by one of our interviewers. They will ask you about the care you have received and you can share your experience in your own words, this will only take a few minutes of your time.
Our Trust app
This is available free from the AppleTM and AndroidTM Stores. It offers information about South Tyneside District Hospital and community services in Gateshead, South Tyneside and Sunderland, and gives you the opportunity to share your experiences through the Friends and Family section.
A carer is someone of any age who provides unpaid support to family or friends who could not manage without this help. This could be caring for a relative, partner or friend who is ill, frail, disabled or has mental health or substance misuse problems.
We are responsible for raising awareness of carers among Trust staff so that they know where to signpost carers for help and support.
We value your feedback and suggestions, whether they are good or bad. Your comments are really important and help us to improve our services for you and other local people. Everything you tell us is confidential and it is your choice if you wish to be involved.
The team produce a quarterly newsletter for carers and patients, please click on the link below to see the latest copy.
