About the Trust
Keith joined the Trust on 1st April 2015.
Keith Tallintire joined the Trust in April 2015 as a Non Executive Director and Chair of its Audit Committee.
Mr Tallintire held a number of senior financial and board positions in the manufacturing sector before becoming Deputy Chief Executive/Director of Resources at North Durham-based social housing provider Derwentside Homes in 2006.
He is also Chief Executive of its commercial arm, Prince Bishops Homes, which he established in 2009 to provide an affordable route into home ownership. In 2011, he set up its social enterprise company, SHED, followed by the Smarterbuys Store, which allows people throughout the UK to buy new furniture, electrical items and white goods without getting into debt, and Silver Talk, a telephone befriending service for the elderly.
Mr Tallintire is an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants and Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply and a member of the Chartered Institute of Housing. He also has previous experience in the NHS: he was a board member of NHS Durham Dales, Easington and Sedgefield Clinical Commissioning Group and, before that, he was a Non Executive Director of County Durham and Darlington Primary Care Trust.
