The Health, Safety and Wellbeing Service for South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust is a confidential service dedicated to improving and maintaining the health, safety and workplace wellbeing of staff employed by the Trust (includes Independent Contractors within the Sunderland, Gateshead and South Tyneside localities i.e. General Medical and Dental Practitioners and their staff).
Our aim is to ensure the effective provision of, personal, professional and legal guidance to South Tyneside NHS Foundation Trust, whilst striving to promote and maintain the physical, mental and social wellbeing of each of its employees. The team is ISO 18001 accredited and is a participant, mentor and member of the North East better Health at Work Award, currently at Gold level and enrolled into the continuing excellence programme.
The Department is made up of a multi-disciplinary team and comprises of the Occupational Health, Health and Safety and Wellbeing teams, with a range of professional backgrounds and experiences to provide a comprehensive service.
